Exam Day and Results

You will get your exam results approximately six weeks after the end of the month in which you took your CMA Exam.

You will receive an email with your score and can also access the result in your My IMA account. If you have passed both Parts, the IMA will verify your education and experience documents and issue your certification number. A few weeks later, you will receive your certificate by mail.

After the exam, make sure to take a few days off. After weeks of studying, a short break will be very helpful. However, don't take too much time off; the longer your break, the harder it will be to get back on track.

• If you are confident that you passed the exam, start preparing for the next Part. If you have already passed the other Part, it is time to submit the CMA Experience Requirement Verification Form and other documents that prove your experience and education. • If you feel that you did not pass the exam, start preparing for a re-take. Evaluate the study materials that you were using for the exam preparation. While the multiple-choice questions are graded automatically by the computer, the essays are graded by people. Learn more about how your CMA Exam score is determined and the CMA Exam scaled score and percentages.

About two weeks after the exam results are published, you will receive an email from Prometric with your Performance Report. The report will show your performance topic-by-topic and will help you see where you need to focus your study time for the exam re-take. You still need to review all topics to make sure that you will pass on your next attempt.
