What Calculators Can be Used During the Exam?
You are allowed to bring a calculator with you when you take the CMA exam, but it must meet specific requirements.
- A Basic Calculator
- Battery or solar-powered
- Six functions maximum (+ − × ÷ √ %)
- Not programmable
- No tape or printer
- Or, One of Four Specific Financial Calculators:
- Texas Instruments BA II Plus Financial
- Hewlett-Packard 12c
- Hewlett-Packard 12c Platinum
- Hewlett-Packard 10BII (Discontinued)
Note: The Texas Instruments BA II Plus Professional is not permitted.
If your calculator does not meet these requirements or is not one of the specific models listed, you will not be allowed to use it on the exam.
